Steripen Adventurer Solar Panel Carry Case
To complement the release of the Adventurer Opti, SteriPEN also has an integrated solar-charger carrying case to be used with SteriPENs products in remote areas where electricity is unavailable. The solar case comes complete with the case obviously, plus a set or CR123 rechargeable batteries. The case interior is molded of soft foam for safe travel, with a compartment for storing extra batteries and a snap-lock closure.
"Missionaries told us, 'I can't get any double-A's. What can you do for me?'" said SteriPEN president, Ed Volkwein.
In addition to solar power, the carrying case can be plugged into a cigarette lighter. It also has space inside its foam-lined interior to store extra batteries, along with the Adventurer Opti. An additional benefit is the ability to recharge CR123 photo batteries for a camera.
