Windproof Silent Series
How does it work?
If you perspire a lot you will soon overheat wearing garments with a traditional 3-layer fabric. That is because they can't vent out moisture and heat generated as fast as you produce it. The unique construction of Silent Series breathes much more freely and allows the excess heat and moisture to quickly disperse - just like a single fleece layer. But that is where the similarity ends.
The face fabric is Microtough, saturated with Teflon DWR to help it shed water. On the inside is a uniquely constructed microfibre that draws moisture away from you body. In between is a layer made up of tiny dots that are designed to break the surface tension of any water droplets that may penetrate the outside face fabric. This process works best under exertion as body heat generated accelerates the movement of moisture outwards.
